Governor stepping down. What is the process?

I know the Lt. Gov. takes over immediately. BUT the people didn't vote for him. How long does he stay in? When will another election for Gov. happen?

BTW... I'm speaking of NY specifically.

Update:

Barry - I thought the same thing. .LOL

Order of succession...the lt governor will be the governor..if he should decline, it goes to the speaker of the state senate.

Governor's not stepping down. Lt Governor takes over his remaining time. That's how it works.

  • the lt. governor will remain governor until the term is over so the next election for governor

Well first you get some chocolate, bananas, and and some syrup.

then you throw the syrup all over me while im naked and my azz is facing you. Then you cut the bananas up in slices and see how many will stick when you throw it from about 5 feet.

If more than 60 stick to me, then he is removed from office.

    The chocolate?????

    Thats for me to eat.

Source(s): If you happen to get one stuck between my stomach and my azz then thats an extra 10 points.

Did anyone else notice how hard is was to find any reference to him being a Democrat?

If he were a Republican that would lead the story.
