It is really best to pick your own friends
Go to your search page and start looking for friends by clicking on their photo/avatar and read a little about them. You will most likely find people that has things in common with you.
Click on the Plus and submit the invitations. Have your profile set up. Most people refuse to add a friend without a profile.
l done the same as you are asking, this was a bad thing to do.
l had to delete some later. So you will really do better this way and pick them yourself
