What type of glue should I use?

I'm trying to glue on these rhinestones to my daughter's curtains to give it some sparkle, but the back of the rhinestones look like metal. I'm trying to glue them to taffeta (a material with a sheen to it). Any suggestions?

You may want to try gluing a tiny wad of fabric onto the rhinestones with beading glue, then sew it to the taffeta.

I don't think super glue will work, the fabric is too porous.

I'm thinking a glue gun will work. Or any glue designed for fabric should work. Check the local fabric or craft store.

Understand, no glue will hold up to machine washing.

I bought a very sticky craft pva glue specially for the purpose you name. Over here in the Uk it's called Very Sticky Craft Glue, so wherever you are there must be something similar in craft shops.

They actually make a glue specifically for jewels...I believe it's just called "Jewel glue", white bottle, I think. You can probably find it in any fabric store. I've used it before and it works nicely.

cool melt glue gun works good or old fashioned gluebird craft glue works. Since these won't be laundered frequently this will work well.

They can then be laundered on gentle or handwash cycle occasionally.

Fabric glue or applique glue should work.

    Super glue may also work.

fabric glue or super glue are probably the best- good luck!
