I feel the same way. I do believe in God, but I do not believe that the Bible is the word of God, there is some good stuff in there but it isn't fact or science.

Read it and take what you can from it.

I haven't found a religion that matches with my beliefs yet and I'm fine with that.

I hope that you continue to read and look at what others have to say about the bible. If you really look at it, it is more factual than you realize. It completely sets the standard, historically, as being very accurate. If you look at other antiquated books out there (like the Iliad, Letters of Caesar, etc) and other religous books (like the Koran), they were written between a hundred years and some even several hundred years AFTER the events occured. The contents in the NT were written within 20-30 yrs after the death and resurrection of Jesus. All of the thousands of people that were present during the occurances of all that happened and recorded were still alive to refute any false claims.

Our eternity depends on how well we understand what God has done for us. The only way to know God is through His word. It does have a very divine imprint to say the least.

How has the Bible been changed?

It has been mistranslated in the past, and any 'changes' that are made are done because we have discovered mistranslations in previous editions. Also, when transferring a message from one language to another, certain words do not carry over between the two and as a result some meaning is lost. But if anything, we have a clearer picture of what the Bible says than we did 500 years ago.

There are isolated instances throughout the Bible where two authors give conflicting information on minor trivia, and places that play out metaphorically but literally make no sense. But ultimately I think the Bible is absolutely true, and is the Word of God.

If my understanding of it is correct, you would most likely be labeled an Agnostic.

Yes I do believe everything in the bible, because everything in it "is" true. It may have been written by men, but they were men inspired by the Holy Spirit of God. How do I know the bible to be true? 'cause it changed my life. No ordinary book could do that!

A lot of people say they believe in God, but they do not understand what it means to be saved and what it means to be a true believer. If the Holy Spirit of God is not working inside of you then you are no more closer to God then a non believer.

"Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good: seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their crys. The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all of thier troubles. The Lord redeemeth the souls of his servants." Psalms 31

It's a tough question, but if you want to learn the truth read as many translations as you can and pray that God will help you understand the scriptures that His Holy spirit directed men (&woman) to write.

And stop using mobile phone language on your computer keybourd

I believe the Bible is completely true. It has remained unchanged for millenia. Translations may come, translations may go, but the original Bible hasn't changed one iota.

As for a category, you would be a theist.

Every thing in the bible is true it not for the brain only it's for the spirit too so you need faith to read in it not only words and letters.

yes i believe everything the bible says, its simple just believe and if there is anything that you dont understand pray and ask God to open it up to you and just wait, He will answer you. bible says He honours His word above His name and if that doesn't say anything about God then i dont know.
