I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago in which they removed the uterus and fallopian tubes. My doctor checked my ovaries and said that they looked good and decided not to remove them. He said that this would also mean I wouldn't need hormones. The only thing is sometimes I still have the symptoms of a period but no period. I started having problems and the doctor tried me on hormones but they seemed to make me too hormonal and emotional. I'm fine without them. If they are going to remove it all then I think I'd go for it so you don't have anything to worry about later on like ovarian cancer, etc. I feel so much better since I've had mine and don't have all the drama each month.
