Why do the indy formula and Nascar cars run in circles?

Unlike Formula 1, where there are many curves and each circuit is designed in a different way.

What's the best part of racing?

    Favourite answer:

skillful fair overtaking....as an auto /motor racing fan and dedicated sim player  why would i just be interested in how races end?,  i want to see more motor racing not less....so what i like the most are passing, and more competitive racing, which f1 at least is failing to deliver right now, and the start of a race, because thats often the moment where drivers are tested to the max...and remember   TFFFYHTF

To finish first, first you have to finish...the motto of an old sim racing club i belonged to..

How do I break traction in a v8 camaro before turning into the corner?

I have a 2017 automatic v8 camaro. I’ve learned how to power slide around a corner by shifting into third gear on my paddle shifters and stepping into the throttle as I’m turning. But now I want to step it up and start drifting like Tokyo drift. How do I do all of that without an e-brake? I’ve seen it done before In this type of car so I know it’s possible. I’d also like to know how to break into a slide from a dead stop. Should I put it in competitive mode or turn traction control all the way off? I tried doing that one time and ended up doing a whole 180 spin. But then again I had bold tires at the time so I’m not sure if that played a factor. So basically how do I safely put my car into a slide and then regain control without over or under steering??

Should I wear earplugs to the Josephine County Monster-Truck show?

    Favourite answer:

Ear plugs are an excellent idea. Monster truck show tend to be painfully noisy at times, and the noise can cause permanent damage to your ears.

Alpine X008U the only choice for me?

    Favourite answer:

Go to the stereo shop for a real life experience instead of biased amateur opinions. If someone tells you descriptive words and shows charts of numbers, how can you hear that?

1970 boss 429 mustang vs 1970 426 hemi 'cuda in stock form?

    Favourite answer:

The Mustang as you defined pretty much narrowed down to a single model, but the Hemi's were available in several 'cuda models. If you narrowed the 'cuda down to a 4 speed model since that's what the Mustang came with then the Hemi beat the Boss by about half a second.
