Philadelphia democrats have run Philadelphia forever and into the ground, Is there any doubt they'll cheat this election also?
Favourite answer:Why did you post this in the travel group? What I find amusing is how democrats are so often accused with cheating, yet republicans are the ones who get charged. Either democrats aren't cheating, or they are better at it.

Why is the government of Philadelphia, not fighting back against gentrification but instead hastening it?
Why would Philadelphia disenfranchise its low to working class or lower middle class Irish and Italian and Greek residents..
By cracking down on licenses issued for local Philadelphia food service businesses..
Part of what has made Philadelphia famous, and helped it's owners to get by through life..
Just to satisfy what is no more or less than an immigrant population from other parts of the state or the country..

Is the Northeast U.S one of the greenest places in the U.S?
Favourite answer:YES it is one of many GREEN places in the USA. Greenest? NO
Out west the green spaces are not as crowded with humans and larger..
National Parks in the west are huge.
Near Seattle there is rain forest. That is very green.
Alaska has many HUGE green parts .The national parks in this state are about the same size as the entire state of Maine.

Is Philadelphia in your opinion the best place ( city ) to get the best cheesesteak subs ?
Favourite answer:Are you asking if there are better places than Philladelphia to get a cheesesteak?
Possibly, I'm fond of the #9 cheesesteak at the D'Angelo chain in New England. However I think it's a function of what you've acclimated your taste buds to.
I did make the tourist pilgrimage to Philly to Geno's and Pats. I got one from each, I preferred Geno's. No doubt there are better cheesesteaks in Philly, but I didn't have opportunity to seek them out. The thing about Geno's and Pats is they use rib roast (a.k.a. prime rib) for the meat, which makes it very flavorable and tender. I've never seen that quality of meat used outside of Philadelphia for a cheesesteak sub. Most places use some cheaper cut of beef.

I live in a suburb of Philadelphia and don't have a car to travel places. How can i get around to travel places otiside the philly area?
Favourite answer:Most Philadelphia suburbs have SEPTA train stations, or a bus that will get you to a SEPTA station. You can get downtown easily on SEPTA. At 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, you can get on an Amtrak train to New York, Boston, Chicago, etc.

Is Philadelphia a safe place to live??
Favourite answer:Statistically, no. But then again, statistics aren't always right. In some ways, Philadelphia is far better than it used to be. South Philadelphia and West Philadelphia used to be much, much worse than they are now. But North Philadelphia and Northeast Philadelphia used to be much better than they are now. Philadelphia is a city that's plagued by a lot of problems. There are a lot of good people there, but there are a lot of skells too. The city has never been run very well, and it's not pretty in a lot of places. But like anywhere else in the country, there are nice parts and parts that are not so nice. Is it as safe as Boston or New York? Not by a longshot. But it's much better than parts of say Baltimore or Washington, D.C., though that really isn't anything to brag about. The fact is that whoever could afford to get out of Philadelphia 30 years ago did, and they all moved out to the suburbs. Those who are there now either stayed because they couldn't afford to move or are recent arrivals from somewhere else. It doesn't have the same community feel that many other cities have, but it's not a war zone either. It depends on where in the city you are, but generally speaking, I'd say it's right around the middle. It's not a safe place but it's not a very dangerous place either.
