Will, or should, there ever be a freeway built between Denver and Salt Lake City?

    Favourite answer:

There are mountains, national forests, and a Native America Indian reservation in the way.  If they routed it around all of that, it would almost as far as using the freeways that have already been built, so there was no strong reason to spend the money.

So Cal to Colorado-- any sight seeing along the way?

    Favourite answer:

That's one of the most packed road trips you can have.  Of course, your starting and ending cities do matter if you're trying to stay as direct as possible.  You have potential for: Vegas, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Death Valley, Arches National Park, various Rocky Mountain cities and national parks.  You could easily spend 2 weeks on that route if you like nature and had the time.

Is everyone in Denver the government?

so in school I learned that Denver is a mile high, but then you get altitude sickness at like 3000 ft so if dEnver is really a mile high then everyone their would have altitude sickness. but the only people who can breathe in altitude sickness is the government, so does that mean everyone iN denver is the government? Is that where the CIA lives and that's why we can't find them? Has anyone actually rried to g oto Denver or do we just assume it exists?

Why are the Carolinas getting snow with global warming?

    Favourite answer:

Because the Sun is transitioning into an inactive cycle called a Solar Grand Minimum that is going to cool the Earth for the next 30 or so years.

Crop failures due to late and early frosts worldwide, increased cloud cover because of increased Galactic Cosmic ray flux causing wet weather and flooding in the mid latitudes worldwide. Natural orbital variances (Earth's tilt at 22%) causing hot summers, cold winters.

These are the factors driving Earth's Climate, Humans have no control.

What do you think of when you hear....Colorado?

    Favourite answer:

I think of bright, high altitude sunshine on high desert terrain where scrubby pinyon pines dot the mountains. I think of Boulder, Fort Collins Denver, Breckenridge, Vail, Telluride, Durango and Grand junction. I think of blue grass, electric cajun slamgrass, tie dies, the Rockies baseball and the Denver Broncos. I think of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and the Tibetan monks in exile.

    Is Denver essentially baby California?

No. It's the "People's Republic of Denver/Boulder". And we wish all the "Coastal Commies" would GO HOME.

    trip to Denver, tips?

My fiancé, myself and our son (he’s 1) our planning a mini vacation to Denver for the end of March. Was wondering what are some places that we should definitely check out!? I’d like to see some beautiful nature and I’ve been looking online it seems like you have to drive out at least an hour from Denver to do that? Any tips would help!

If you're at a restaurant in Denver and want to order a Denver omelette, can you just ask for an omelette and they'll know what you mean?

"Denver omelette" has twice as many syllables as "omelette." Who's got time for that?

I am planning a 9 day road trip from Los Angeles, CA to Denver Colorado. I have no idea what to do out there. Any suggestions?

    Favourite answer:

Depending on your route - you certainly can't do all of them- Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yosemite, Utah - Great Salt Lake and all that. Grand Mesa, Meteor Crater, Monument Valley. And points in between.
