    Is it weird to be alone at a sit down restaurant?

    I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm a shy person who doesn't go out much. I'm looking into moving to a new city, and next month I'll be visiting there for a weekend to see how it feels. I would love to try out some restaurants at night, but I don't know if a table for one is unconventional, particularly at some of the nicer places.
