  • Would you get back into contact with a friend who lied to you?

I had a friend for 14 years and we were long distance friends for the last 8+ years of our friendship. I came to discover she lied to me about her career, her family life and a lot of things. I made the decision to end the friendship immediately when I discovered all the lies she told me. I severed contact and was angry with her and myself for wasting time on a liar. That was over 2 years ago. Lately, now that I'm in a calmer place in life I've considered getting back into contact and seeing how she's doing. I'm not sure that's a good idea. I forgive her for the lies she told more so I can move on. I know I would never trust her again but I am concerned for her and am curious if she is doing well. I don't foresee us being friends again Should I contact her or just leave her be?

  • Is it normal for a cat to gain 2 lbs in a month?

When we adopted our rescue kitty she was 5 lbs 2 oz and after a month of living with us she is about 7 lbs and 6 oz. She's smallish and she looked lean but skinny before, now she looks a little chubby. I feed her 1 1/2 cans of Wellness Signature per day as the instructions on the back recommended. I wanted her to put on a some weight but 2 lbs seems like a lot in such a short time. Should I be concerned? Also is it possible getting her spayed may cause weight changes like this? She was spayed right before we brought her home.

  • Long distance best friend from childhood lied to me what would you do?

I had a really good friend in middle school and high school. We lost touch for a few years when I moved out of state for school, then we got back in touch and started talking a few times a week. We had been friends for 13 years and she had gotten married and had 2 kids at a young age. During that time we didn't talk, she said she went to school and became an RN. Long story short she started cheating on her husband and her husband eventually confronted me about what I knew (I told him the truth) and when I mentioned something about nursing he was confused told me that she wasn't a nurse and had dropped out of school after 1 year. To get to the truth I checked online for her nursing license (she lives in a state where it's public record) and it didn't exist. Never did. So I found out she lied to me. I've cut off contact and I never want to speak to her again if I can't trust her to be honest with me. What you have done in this situation? Did I do the right thing?

  • Why do people troll?

I know that even asking is trollish in nature but there are a lot of trolls here tonight. Why do people troll? What benefit do they gain from trolling?

Is my new rescue kitty a Bombay black cat?

I have a rescue kitty coming home soon and someone said to me that she looks like she could be a Bombay black cat. She's sweet and very gentle but she isn't very big at all. She must only weigh 4 1/2-5 lbs (and she's fully grown at 1 1/2 y/o). I was just curious if there would be any way for me to tell if she is a Bombay?

  • How much water does a small cat bowl carry?

I'm trying to figure out how many milliliters a small cat water dish carries. My cat is in the early stages of feline kidney disease and I want to get a good idea of how much water she is drinking in a day. I got several plastic food/water dishes at the dollar store. I placed several around the house. She has one favorite dish and I have to fill it up once or twice a day. She will sip water from the others but she likes the one we keep in the bedroom the most. I am estimating she is drinking 3 dishes of water everyday but I am not sure what the volume of those dishes are.

  • Where are the cheapest neighborhoods in Vancouver, BC.?

I am moving to Vancouver, BC next year from Seattle to go to University of British Columbia. I am planning to start visiting in September to get a better feel for the city and I want to start looking at apartments. I know Vancouver can be an expensive city to live in but I am curious if anyone knows of any relatively inexpensive cat friendly apartment complexes or even just a decent area to start looking. I do want it to be within a reasonable transit distance from UBC though. Any ideas?

  • I haven't worked in two years, I've been applying for jobs but no one is calling me back?

It's been almost two years since I've had a job. Before that I worked in restaurants as a bartender and server. I left the last job I had because I wanted to get my associate's degree. Now I want to spend a year working full time before I transfer to a university and then I want to work part time. I've sent my application and resume off to many different restaurants but I haven't heard back from any of them. Is the fact I haven't been working for two years hurting my chances of getting a new job?

  • Was Jesus a Buddhist?

So there is a lot of evidence of Buddhist monks traveling to Judea during the first century. Many quotes in the Bible are derivatives of Buddhist phrases. It is very likely that Jesus came into contact with these monks and learned from them.

Do you feel that maybe this proves that Christianity should be rooted more in the beliefs of Buddhism?

  • How has the Paleolithic Diet worked for you?

I'm 27, 5'8 and 165 lbs. My main goal is to eat healthier and exercise more than I have been in the past year. I wkuld like to lose about 15-25 lbs in fat but I would like to remain curvy. A few of my friends mentioned I should try the Paleolithic Diet saying it may even help allieviate my ADHD symptoms. I did my research on it and it seems like a good idea. I was curious if anyone has done this and what the results were. If you liked it, what did you like about it? If you didn't like it what about it didn't you like? I would love to hear opinions. :-)

  • Breast growth in late 20s?

I'm 27 and in the past 6 months my breasts have gone up almost 2 cup sizes (from B cup to almost a D). Now I know a lot of girls have breast growth into their early 20s but it seems odd to me that it is happening so late for me. Could this be indicative of some sort of medical problem like a hormonal imbalance?
