  • Is it wrong to feel this way?

My grandmother has cancer (both lung and brain) and has been going downhill for about a year. Yesterday, my mom told me that my grandmother has gotten worse and is now confined to her bed. All of my family are planning to go, in the next week, to visit with her because she obviously has little time left. I love my grandmother a lot but I am dreading going to visit her. When I last saw her, even though I knew she had cancer, she looked for the most part healthy. I am not sure how I will handle seeing her sickly and dieing. Although I am definitely going to visit her, it is wrong for me to be thinking this way, I mean am I being too selfish worrying about myself during this time? Also, what do I say to her (or better yet is there anything I should not say to her)?

  • I have a question about Black women?

Do you think Black women look better with straightened hair or with natural hairstyles? I think all Black women are beautiful, but there is just something about a Black woman with natural hair...I mean, damn.....uhhhhh...sorry, forgot you people were still here.

  • I have a question!!?

If I were to start talking with a British accent, even though I have never been to England, people would say I was an idiot. I am from Illinois and if I were to start talking with a Texas or Brooklyn accent even though I have never been to either place people would call me a moron. Why then, do people who have never even been to a ghetto think it is cool to try to talk like they are from the projects or something. I was visiting family in Terre Haute, Indiana (which doesn't even have a ghetto) and a lot of the white kids there do that (or at least try to sound like what they THINK people in the ghetto sound like).
