  • Whis student loan forgiveness program is the most legit and affordable?

I am a single parent and my finances have changed significantly since I started school and filled out financial aid apps. I contacted a company Today called Student Loan Relief Group. They quoted me A very low and affordable payment based on my income. My only question is about their fees. They want to charge four payments of $181.17 for providing the service. Does this sound right? I 've heard that some companies are charging a monthly fee for the program. Does anyone have experience with this or any other company like this. I just do no want to get scammed.

  • Can I fix a slight engine knock by replacing main and rod bearings?

I have a 2002 Expedition. The engine has developed a faint knock from the bottom of the motor. Mainly hear it when you're in a drive through or someplace where the sound echos. It is not bad at all really.. Just bugs me. I had to put $1100 dollars into head repairs last month and really would like to get away without changing the motor. It has a 5.4 liter motor with 166k. The oil pressure is good and it runs great. I m just curious if I could get away with changing the rod bearings to remedy the knock. I would probably go ahead and change the main bearings too since I am there. I can buy all the parts to do this for around $125... Any thoughts?

  • Infocus projector fan problem?

I have an In focus x2 projector. It powers up and works perfect for about five minutes then gets really hot.. I opened the case to find that the larger of the two fans was not turning , so assuming that the fan has failed I ventured up to the electronics store to find a replacement fan. The faulty fan is a a two wire fan, but all the store has are three wire fans. The salesman told me to just cut off the yellow and use only black and red. I did this and put it all back together. The new fan will work, but is very weak. I have to reach in and give it a little help to get started and then it is very weak and slow.. the projector still gets too hot and shuts off. I did find the specific fan that it had originally online, but do not want to order I if the fan is not the issue... anyone have any input on this issue?

  • Is affordableengine.com a rip off?

I got a used motor quote from this company online. Their website is www.affordableengine.com Not engines with an s. This is a different company. From what I can tell, they charge a 89 dollar fee to locate an engine for you and then give you the suppliers phone number and order info. They gave me three quotes for a used engine for my 1987 Ford Bronco. One $700, one $850 and one for $300. They also offer an extended warranty on used motors for $249. This being said, I can buy the $300 motor and a warranty for $549. This sounds great to me, but I cannot find anything good or bad about this company. Has anyone heard of them?

  • Can a loose timing chain crack timing chain cover and jump time at the same time?

1987 for 302 I know the timing chain is loose. I have heard it slapin around for a while. I was driving to work yesterday and when I got off the highway, I had a pretty bad miss and oil leaking from the lower front of motor. Seems like it could be from the cover. It has excellent oil pressure (40 to 45 psi at idle). It just seems odd that these two problems happened at the same time.

  • Heart condition or GERD?

I am completely lost... Hopefully someone can relate to my issue.. I am 37 years old, 5'9 and 218 lbs. Currently, I have chest discomfort. Not pain, but just a slight pressure near the center of my chest. This sensation is nearly constant. Does not come and go. I feel it more often than I do not, which I have been told that if it were a heart issue, it would come and go.

I have occasional palpitations and have had them for a couple of years. My Dr. says not to worry about em, but I have them 5 or 6 times a week I would say. Sometimes I feel really weird when I have em, but only during those few seconds when it happens. I recover immediately following. My blood pressure is high, but mildly high. I am on 10mg of lisinopril for BP and 40mg of Simvastatin for cholesterol. This keeps it under control.

I am generally pretty tired a lot of the time and when I exert myself, if feel out of breath and way more exhausted than I think that I should be.

I have issues breathing. I feel as if I cannot take a full deep breath or yawn sufficiently. I have had this issue for a number of years. It has been dismissed as stress, air hunger and acid reflux.

about two months ago, I started to have this pain in my throat. It does not feel like strep or anything like that. It is not affected by swallowing or anything that I eat. It seems to be be affected by muscle movement in my throat around my adams apple. I ended up at a ENT who looked in my throat and said that my esophagus was really red and swollen. He blames acid refux and told me to continue on my reflux medication and some make some diet changes. I have dealt with acid reflex for the majority of the last 10 years. I have learned what it feels like and I have never felt this. I still deal with this. It seems to be a little better, but still there.

Now... In the past year, I have had and Upper endoscopy and Barium swallow xray, which came back okay. A couple of EKGs and blood tests, which were all okay. I have had a chest xray and a treadmill stress test. All have come back okay.

In the last year, I have closed my business after 10 years. Divorced after 13 years. Became a single father of two as my ex wife walked away from them and am in the middle of a bankruptcy. So, as you can see, stress is off the charts for me. I have been told that these issues are stress and I can accept that, but at the same time, what if it is not? I am a single parent and cannot leave these kids because of a misdiagnosis. Sometimes, I feel like if all else fails blame stress.

I know this was long winded, but I have been dealing with this for so long time...

  • I need advice from a diesel mechanic?

I have a 2005 International 4300 Box truck. According to the engine serial number, the engine is a 2003. It is losing power on hills. Dropping from 70 mph to as low as 45 mph on hills. Runs good off the highway. With a heavy load I can feel it stumble a bit off the highway, but still pulls good. On the highway, I cannot pull hills for crap even if I am empty. Not even small hills. Feels like it is missing a bit also while bogging down. We have checked the turbo and all the lines. We have traced all the fuel lines to look for leaks. I have replaced the fuel pressure regulator, all the filters including the rock filter, lift pump, and all the rubber seals in the fuel line connections. I have noticed that while bogging out on a hill, I can left the gas petal about 1/3 of the way up and it will actually run a little better. Still will not pull the hill, but engine sounds right. We have put it on a scanner and it is throwing no codes.

  • Does anyone own Golds Gym 450 Treadmill?

I am looking for a decent treadmill. This one keeps coming up in my searches for good affordable treadmills. The biggest concerns I have are how is the cushioning in the deck? I have had problems with impact on treadmills in the past. Also how does it stand up to running? Alot of the websites say that it is not great for runners, but in the customer reviews on Walmart.com, no one mentions specifics like wether they are running on it or walking/jogging.

  • Do I have good reason to hire a lawyer?

A few months ago. I had a tooth removed and within a few days I ended up with a very bad infection in my throat. I was in a tremendous amount of pain and eventually my throat nearly swelled closed two separate times. I couldn't even open my mouth due to the amount of pain. It was in the tissue on top a major artery and they were very worried about doing any type of surgery due to the risk. Eventually they had to cut out the infection and it turns out that the infection was a flesh eating bacteria. I have been told that I have a good law suit. Is this true? I have come out of this with two weeks of missed work and alot of medical bills.

  • How much should I ask for pain and suffering?

I was in a pretty bad accident last week. I was hit my a truck on the highway while stopped in traffic. He was driving too fast for the snowy conditions and hit me at about 60 mph. I was extremely lucky. I had a concussion and some bumps and bruises, but nothing major. I was in alot of pain as far as being sore and had a bad headache for a few days, but for the most part ok. Just been a miserable time getting over all the soreness. The insurance company is working with me to get my truck replaced and some equipment that had gotten damaged replaced. I am being told by everyone that I should ask for something as far as pain and suffering. I agree, but I don't really know how to put a price tag on that. I don't wanna come of as trying to take advantage of the situation. I am sure I could go out and hire some crazy money hungry lawyer and get a larger amount, but I really don't want to do that. Anyone ever dealt with something like this?

  • Do I need a lawyer???????

I was stopped on the highway due to snowy weather conditions. A tractor/trailer driver traveling way too fast came from behind and couldn't stop. I was driving a 24 ft box truck which is what I make a living with. I have a concussion, but no other injury. My truck is in pretty bad shape and some equipment from inside the truck ended up thrown from the truck and destroyed. I don't know weather I need to have an attorney of my own or if I should just use the one from my insurance company.

  • Head injury question?

I was in a car wreck today. Rear ended very hard. My head hit the back of my seat. It is a padded seat, but I think I hit the frame in the seat. I was knocked stupid for a few seconds. I don't think I actually got knocked all the way out. It happened 12-13 hours ago. I went to the Urgent care. They said alllookedd well, but they wanted to do a CAT scan just to be safe. My insurance wouldn't cover it. She said that it should be ok and we would wait before doing one. I have a headache and have had it ever since the wreck. I feel pretty normal otherwise. She said to have someone wake me every 3 hours tonight. Is there anything else I can do to be sure that all is well?
