  • Can you id this song from a "Saving Hope" commercial for season 3(US)?

My wife likes this song but we can't seem to figure it out.

    http://www.iontelevision.com/show/saving-hope/vide...

Since it was produced in Canada, I thought some Canadian ears would know. The music on the show

    rocks, BTW.

  • Yahoo Group calendar does not send nofication?

For the last month, our Yahoo group calendar no longer send notifications. I believe our personal ones do, but the shared group ones are more vital in our family.

It used to work, but no longer.

Also, even though you should be able to export into .ics following the procedure given in various groups (select the calendar and export using the arrow tag) it only exports one meeting, not the whole calendar. When I import I get only one entry and if you look at the .ics file it is too small and references only one meeting.

Why is calendar always broken? A year ago is was totally unuseable, always in Maintenance mode? Now it doesn't send mail.

  • What version of Modern Warfare 3 to get for Xbox 360?

I see several versions on Amazon. What is the difference and which is the current and most playable? Or are they all about the same.

The one I am looking at is:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with DLC Collection 1

  • Is this illegal passing in Colorado?

I've seen this a few times. The opposing side is 2 lanes wide and has a solid line. My side is one lane wide and a dotted line. I've been passed on the left by a car, but the opposing side had cars in the slow or right lane. This seems extremely dangerous, as a car on the opposing lane can have a truck in front they cannot see around, and try to pass it, legally, and encounter the car in the opposite direction.

But I can't find a law that covers this, except it being dangerous (the law of common sense).

  • Chinese Falafel strings recipe?

I'm trying to figure out the recipe for a Chinese Falafel, circa 1980s UC Berkeley food cart, yellow in Sproul Plaza.

If you went there during that time, it was one of several food carts. The falafel had fried tofu, cheese, veggies, and peanut butter/french dressing sauce. But I can't figure out the falafel "balls". It was fried, but it more like strings. It had a smooth outside and I am guessing it was made by squirting a bottle into some hot peanut oil to create the strings. It was more crispy than dense, but it had the flavor of falafel. I know they must have used some type of mix of cooking technique, but I can't figure it out.

  • Subaru 2003 parking brake light stays on in the cold?

Almost sure it is the switch that is stuck, because when the car gets a bit warmer the emergency brake light works correctly. The DRLs are disabled when the parking light is on, so I'd like to fix this.

But where is the switch? Is it on the lever? How do I get access?

  • Comcast cancellation / resubscription?

I've done the dance trying to get the new subscription rate. I got a small reduction but nothing like the $29/month for 12 months that is currently offered. Can I cancel and resubscribe?

    Here is what I know:

You can if you cancel and wait 60 days. Anything less is a subscription.

But in the case where I change the billing to my wife or my son, how would they know? I know they know the location, the last 4 digits of the social.

In the case of say a divorce, they should allow an account change without the waiting period? Or

say roomates who disconnect or take over an account? They should be eligible for the

    discount?

And if you self install, you avoid the $50 install charge but you do have to surrender and reinstall

    all your equipment.

I am just tired of them not rewarding any time of loyalty to their crap service, giving service like HD or the QVC channel or on demand that I don't want or need. I'd take stinking basic cable if I could. (they forced digital last year, so I had to install DTAs and pay for THAT already.

  • Why direct cloning of windows 2000 ntfs does not work?

I used a byte by byte clone of my root disk to another bigger disk (straight dd from a linux dvd boot). When

I boot, windows comes up but I can't authenticate; it always goes back

to the logon phase. Or it asks me to change password (from a nonadmin account)

which is successful, but then repeats the logon phase.

What is so special in MBR/NTFS that might do this? Is something on the filesystem encoded with hardware?

I do have Ghost, but the version I have stinks because they removed the "clone all disk" option, it just clones volumes. The other thing that I use is the linkfolder facility in Windows, so lots of things are links to other folders on bigger disks.

  • Can tivo series 2 dual tuner control comcast dtas?

I have a series 2 tivo dual tuner. We recently got "upgraded" to all digital, but we enjoy the 2 channel input via the cable box and the basic cable. I haven't figured a way to get this feature back, since the IR can only control one cable box. So right now, I have only the digital cable box hooked up to the TIVO, and a DTA hooked up so we can watch live TV without TIVO, switched via the TV itself.

I heard of a USB method ton control a cable box, will this work?
