If labor union membership is at a 100 year low, why is it so hard to get into a union as an apprentice?
It seems they would want to sign on as many apprentices and non union journeymen as possible. I know they wouldn t have jobs for them right away, but when things need to be built or serviced, they would have the labor force needed. When you can t get in a union, you either have to find a different trade, or work non union. And I don t want to get into the whole pros and cons of unions thing.
