  • Question: Dating during a divorce, How come women freak out when I say separated?!?

    Here's the situation:

Going thru a divorce. Been separated for over 6 months. All money issues and financial issues have been divided. No kids involved. It's amicable and we get along as friends, but there is no chance of us getting back together. And really there's no drama.

Been waiting on the court date (have a mandatory waiting period) and will be final in two weeks. The only thing left is to have the state sign off on the divorce.

I have a stable job, I work out and take care of myself, not hideous, and I am getting better at meeting people.

This is the situation I have been running into:

I meet a nice woman at school (going back to school at night to finish my degree), or when I out... everything goes great till I tell them (when asked) if I am married or not.

Like I said before, I am not out for a wild romance, or a one night stand, but getting tired of being treated like chopped liver.

I am not out to find Mrs Right, or Right

  • Fasten then zip or zip then fasten?

My question is, when getting up the morning and putting on your pants.

Do most people fasten the button on the pants then zip, or zip then fasten?

These are the things I think about when I am at the office... sad I know.

  • At what point in a divorce is ethical to date?

    Divorced but not final yet...

Never cheated on the wife, and we are still friends.

At what point does it not matter if you go out and act like a pig to celebrate?

    A) After legal separation?

    B) After divorce is filed and everything is done and settled.

    C) The Divorce is final after waiting months of mandatory cooling off period from your state?

Note... it' been a while here boys and girls since this boy has had ANY action... 2007? Just want to know the rule of thumb...

  • What to do about a really bad screw up with my wife. Is there anyway to make this right?

    Here's the situation:

    Background:

I am in the middle of a divorce. A lot of this is my fault, a lot of it is hers. It's amicable (up until now) and no kids. I really would like to be some sort of friends. I like the woman, and if there was any way to save the marriage, I would have done so.

So here I am starting to get out again. Sorry been celibate for too long married, and I was wanting to at least see what is out there. If nothing else make some friends.

So I have been seeing two girls casually (nothing serious on anybody's side). And I was out on Wednesday and I got a call from my soon to be ex. I still have her number on my speed dial. I forgot to lock my phone, and when I sat down, she heard a good portion of my date. And the worst part she heard me telling my date when she asked why it didn't work out with my marriage. And I was bluntly honest.

I could not be more embarrassed. She heard this conversation and the conversation I had last week with the other girl. So I sent her an email my ex trying to apologize for the call. She's still livid at me so I am not about to call the woman and get my *** chewed out.

I almost had hope for saving this marriage or remaining friends with my seen to be ex, as we were getting along well. Now I am not sure what to do?

I feel bad about this whole mess. But not sure how to proceed.
