  • how do i get more rpm out of my 1997 spl 90 hp johnson motor?

i have 1999 t-17 triton bass boat with 1997 spl 90hp johnson motor, top end it runs 42 mph at 4200 rpm, i have a 19 degrees prop. i believe the motor power band is 5000 to 5500 rpm. i had this motor on two different boats, the second boat was a 1997 16ft Strato. top end it 48 mph at 4600 rpm with 19 degree prop. i'm hoping to get more speed by getting into the power band.
