  • How can I tell if I just need to replace the muffler bracket, and how would I do so?

I have a '98 Honda Civic LX, and had the muffler replaced last summer. I don't believe there were any rust problems with the connecting pipe. Recently I heard a "ting ting ROAR" when driving, and it sounded like something small fell off the car. The muffler and pipe are no longer connected; they make a "V" but nothing is dragging on the ground. Does it sound like I can just go to an auto parts store & get a bracket, jack up my car, and install it? Do I need to know anything special for this?

    Thanks!
