Olympic records are broken by super-human physical strength and abilities.

Many Westerners are still ignorant on how the world has changed. Asians will never compete head-on with the west, but winning is still their top prerogative. It is always a fight between technology, knowledge, harsh traditional or scientific training methods.

I don't think the Chinese, Koreans ...need to dope. They have left doping behind since the 1990s. They have their oriental medical knowledge to enhance their performance. Their civilization is over 6000 years of continuous research on natural, homoeopathic, herbal medicines and supplements. They use acupuncture techniques and nervous pressure points methods. They have "Coaches from Hell" training camps. All training are state funded. Rewards and positions are guaranteed to high performers. There is plenty of room for all athletes to join as sports trainers when they retire. Their population is a quarter of the world's.

How can the Western world compete with dwindling funding by commercial sponsorships?

There is a HUGE difference between performance enhancement intake and banned drug intake. This may come as a surprise to you. So, listen.

Do you agree that Jessica is just another copycat singer? She renders super diva songs very well but without a trace of originality. Jessica might as well represent Xerox to endorse their products. She sounds very much like the original...sometimes even better. What does her awesome prowess has to prove? Even she is given another Judges Save she'll do no better than second place.

Actually she delivers very powerful performance...only when she sings somebody else's greatest hits. When let to do her own song, she doesn't have a clue to do it properly. They need originality to make it in the music industry. Idol winners have to do it.. deliver their original single. It is never the case who has the most powerful voice or else, American Idol will be overwhelm by powerfully trained classical singers or even metal screamers.
