Does Denmark allow you to take home you left overs from a restaurant?
I recently moved to Denmark from the US and decided to take my 7 year old son out to dinner at a chinese restaurant. Our bill came to 335.50 dkk which is about $65 US, I asked for a box to take home the large amount of food we had left and the waitress said " In Denmark it is not allowed to take the left overs from the restaurant" this sounds pretty wasteful, what are they going to do with the food throw it away or add it back to the pan and serve it again?
