  • Can I leave with my mom?

I'm a thirteen-year-old girl and I am going to visit China to celebrate my grandma's birthday with my mom. And plus, my mom isn't forcing me to, I want to. However, my dad disagrees with this, can I still go without my dad's permission because we notified him already. (My parents are still married.)

  • My parents are going to divorce; what is going to happen?

I'm a thirteen-year-old girl and my parents are planning to divorce.

My mom is Shanghainese and on Monday, my mom and I are going to fly there. We know that my dad is going to disapproves of this immediately so we were very scared to tell him because his imagination is WONDERFUL; he can think of anything gratuitously.

We currently live in an apartment (because my parents are bankrupt) and the family beneath us smokes marijuana; now he thinks my mom smokes it and her whole family too! (This is not true at ALL; I've been with my mom 24-7 for an entire month (since I'm out of school) and she hasn't done that at ALL! In fact, we're bankrupt; where does she get the money to smoke marijuana?!?!)

Two years ago, my dad also thought that I wasn't his daughter; he thought that I'm some other guy's daughter so he got our DNA checked. He didn't tell my mom about this but she and she didn't get in his way because he IS my dad. Before he got the results that I am his daughter, he stops accusing my mom going out with some other guy.

My mom has been very very very considerate to my dad. She prepares every meal for him and brings it in front of him and takes care of him after he comes home from work. When he comes home from work (he's been working for two and a half years), it's like he's the king, you have to do whatever he wants you to. Since we move into an apartment here two and a half years ago, my mom is unemployed because she can't find a job here at Sacramento. When my mom was employed and my dad was unemployed, she had to take care of five of us altogether. Now my dad works, he thinks he's the only one that's very tired; my mom had to work too AND take care of us.

My dad gratuitously insults my mom of EVERYTHING he can imagine. Since we want to fly back to Shanghai on Monday (she got her mom to pay for the ticket since my grandma misses my mom so much), we told my dad about it on Wednesday. Now he says only my mom can go and I can't because I'm his daughter. I can go only if they divorce and I will always pick to be with my mom. My mom is thinking about to just leave tomorrow and stay at her friend's house, can my dad call the police and arrest my mom because we left without his permission? However, we already notified my dad about our leaving.

  • After I used the Action Replay Code for a full National Dex on Pokemon Platinum, my National Dex disappeared?!?

I put in the Action Replay Code for a full National Dex and activated it. It worked but when I checked it, it just gave me a full Sinnoh Dex (210 Pokemon total) instead of a full National Dex (493 Pokemon total)!

However, when I went to Professor Oak's house at Eterna City, he said "Ah, Rachel! (My name's Rachel.) You've come to show me how your Pokedex is coming along. (Me: Yes.) Hmhm... You've caught 493 so far... Rachel! You've finally done it! You've finally completed the National Pokedex! This is better than meeting any exotic Pokemon for the first time! I feel blessed to have become friends with a Trainer like you! Sincerely, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!"

I know that when you have your National Dex, you can switch around with the Pokedex, but that doesn't work anymore! Is there anything I can do to get it back?!?! Thanks a bunch!

  • What will most likely occur inside a cold nebula?

I have no idea of what to answer to the multiple choice question I have in front of me right now:

Which of the following will most likely occur inside a cold nebula?

    a. rapid collisions will push particles apart

    b. particles will slowly move closer to one another because of gravity

    c. gravity and pressure will push particles rapidly together

    d. no forces will act on particles, and the particles will drift apart

I need to make sure which one is the right answer because this is the science study guide for my State Standardized Test that I will take in two weeks! Thanks!

  • What is a molecule, in terms of physics?

I know that molecules are made of atoms and can be from different atoms, but this multiple choice question is not looking for the definition I know of:

    What is a molecule?

    a. the smallest particle of a substance that cannot be broken down any further by chemical reaction

    b. a particle that forms when atoms gain or lose electrons

    c. matter of particular or definite chemical composition

    d. the smallest unit of a substance that keeps the physical and chemical properties of the substance

At first I chose A but I wasn't so sure; I was having split minds on A and D. Now that I've been thinking more deeply about it, I think it's D because of the definition I gave above saying the molecules are made of atoms. I just want to make sure which one is the right answer because this is the science study guide for my State Standardized Test that I will take in two weeks! Thanks!

  • What would be the best way to compare the densities of two rock samples?

I know that you should find the mass by using a balance beam and find the volume by using the water displacement method. When you get the measurements, divide the mass by the volume, but I have a multiple choice question here that's confusing me about finding the density:

Which of the following would be the best way to compare the densities of two rock samples?

    a. Divide each rock's mass by its volume. The rock with the higher number is denser.

    b. Measure the rocks in a graduated cylinder. The one that displaces more water is denser.

    c. Use a balance to measure the samples. The higher number in the denser rock.

    d. Hold the samples in your hands. The rock that feels heavier is denser.

I'm stuck between choosing A, B, and C. I'm absolutely sure it's not D because that cannot proven without actual measurements found by scientific instruments. I'm most sure about A being the correct answer because that's how you find the density of an object, but it doesn't tell how to find the mass and volume (B and C tells how to find them). Also because that B and C is only the "partial product", in terms of math. I just want to make sure which one is right answer because this is the science study guide for my State Standardized Test that I will take in two weeks! Thanks!

  • What are elements, in means of physical science?

I know that an element is a pure substance which cannot be broken down into simpler substances by chemical or physical means (because that's what it says in the textbook I have), but it's not a choice for the multiple choice question here:

    Elements are_______.

    a. the substances that make up all matter

    b. ions that have been positively charged

    c. the combination of particles in a molecule

    d. the nuclei in isotopic atoms

I chose A because I thought that's most logical according to what I know. I just want to make sure if that's the right answer because this is the science study guide for my State Standardized Test that I will take in two weeks! Thanks!

  • What should someone do when they worked and did not get paid?!?!?

So on Black Friday my mom and dad worked at Walmart as an "Event Staff" (they're supposed to be like a security guard) and the company promised them they would at least get 10 hours of work time. However, they only had 6 hours. So they came back home and just thought that they had bad luck. Later when my mom got her check, my dad didn't so we waited for a week and started to call the company about where the check went. They said it should come in another day or two. But then, it hasn't came yet and almost a month has past. My dad tried calling the company but no one picks up the phone. Yesterday morning, we finally got a phone call back and they said only my mom worked, but not my dad! Then my dad informed him that he did work and said they will call back today because they need to check with the manager. So what should my dad do because he's ready to sue them! (Ummm, just to let you know if you haven't figured this out, my dad is pretty pissed here!)

  • Red light camera flash at Sacramento?

My mom was talking to me and she didn't notice the yellow light. She slammed on her brakes really hard. When she came to a complete stop, she realized she passed 2/5 of the intersection. She did not want to get hit, so started driving again; then the camera flashed once (the light turned to red already). So is she going to get a ticket? If so, how much is the fine going to be at Sacramento? Thank you.

  • How to get rid of very bad allergies?!?!?!?!?!?

My mom is very allergic to grass in the spring and summer time. When she passes by a neighbor's house and they're mowing the lawn, she sneezes 5-7 times (I'm not exaggerating!). Even if there is no grass around she has a runny nose and sneezes every now and then. When it is very severe she takes Claritin D; however, that has no use anymore.... She tried honey and that didn't work either.... I want to know to cure this. Thank you.
