  • Is there any correlation between Engine rpm, throttle position (or TPS) and Fuel Delivery rate?

In diesel cars can we have same fuel delivery /throttle for engine rpm of 800 (in neutral) and at rpm of 1000 (in 6th gear)?

Or in other words can we change the engine rpm without changing throttle position/fuel delivery?

  • My Hyundai Diesel Car (Verna 2013 ) starts running as soon as I release the clutch (without even touching accelerator pedal).?

When I change gear and then speed increases (not yet touched the accelerator pedal). This is happening till all 6 gears. It attains a good speed.

If I apply brake and reduce the speed to 40kmph in 6 gear and then release the brake, the car again accelerate to high speed

    My Question is:

    1. How much speed is allowed for diesel cars without use of accelerator pedal

    2. Because of this the car is to be controlled with clutch in city driving. That is against manufacturer recommendation. (applying brake to drive the car in low speed is difficult because engine is accelerating)

    3. Is this a fault in ETC or Engine

    4. Hyundai is not listening on its website ccc.hyundai-motor.com. In fact it is not allowing me to login. I wrote to Hyundai worldwide through contact us page but they are also not responding.

I would like to know technical details for this technical fault so that I can know for sure whether my car is having defective engine or some controller
