I have been looking at a number of on line sites and think that I have chosen the .22cal.LR s/a rifle I want to buy. I would like to know about its performance in the field.

How does the nickle-teflon coated trigger asy. hold up? I don't want my trigger asy. to peel like a cheap frying pan.

Is the gun very accurate? I see the barrel farly heavy looking but I know there is more to accuracy then barrel weight.

How does it compare to a rugger 10/22?

Are there any weak points to the gun?

what do you figure would happen if I used a few shot shells in the gun?would I damage the rifleing?

I am considering getting the base 597 with iron sights and fitting it out with see through scope mounts.

I know such websites exist since a fella I used to work with ordered an sks out of Manitoba?.. Any how, I have been searching and searching for a Canadian website and I can't find one. I am not interested in Cabellas or Bass pro shops They are way over priced. I just want to browse a number of different gun options and then make my selection and or purchase without dealing with cross boarder B.S. or driving all over He77s half acre to find a gun store that has what I want for a decent price. www.???????????

I just bought it for $159.99 @my local Home hardware store. It is a real nice looking air rifle with a longer than usual barrel(for an air rifle). It seems to be of quality manufacture as well. I would like to know if there is anything that can be done to improve its power though. The manual says that the velocity is reduced to ship into sertain countries in acordance with local laws.(Canada fits this criteria) I how ever am a FAC holder and would be willing to register it as a firearm if necisary to improve its velocity. I am looking @ useing the airrifle for pest control and small game hunting.

Also can anyone recomend a decent scope for a reasonable cost? I am not thinking of the standard 4x10 tasco. scopes sold for airrifles. I was thinking more like whats is equiped on some of the beemanns I have seen (2-7x20,coated, sealed optics)

I saw a doe that had a broken leg last year, probably a car. I saw what appeared to be the same doe last night with two yearlings in toe.

I am Not looking @ the EXOMAG or EXOCET unless I can Happen to find a used one @ the right price but I would like any experiance from these bows just the same.

I do know a dealer for the company personally so I belive I can get a good deal on a New one. I am most interested comparisons from/between Pheonix&Vixon.

Is the added deck length of the vixon worth the $$

I know the draw weight is also heavier on the phenix compared to the older excocets' how do they pair up with each other? would a new phenix be worth the extra $$ over buying a decently used excocet?

What would/should a good used excocet run me?

...Nitrafying bacteria in a New fish tank?

I have been going for about a month but want to be certain of GOOD bacteria growth in my tank. I have alrady done my preliminaryies . I have kickstarted with an old filter added to my new tank from an already established tank. I also have some Bannana plans,java moss and java ferns...oh and some genus of the Anuibas species of plant. I am useing a 15 gal. tanl with a 20gal capacity Marineland bio-wheel filter, An air stone U.G.F., useing crushed granite and quartz substrate. A 28 watt "day light" fluorescent light( light cycle is 08:00>14:00 on and 16:00>20:00 on. the air cycle is 20:00>08:00 hrs there is also a good peice of seasoned drift wood in the tank. It currently houses % small ghost shrimp,6 small pond snails and 10-12 3 week old guppies. Everything seems to be fine but for how long right?. I am most concerned in setting up the tanks Nitrogen cycle bacteria groth as an insurity( guppies are "cull fish"), but if they live cool.

I know that if you put it streight in it will release tannic acid upsetting your tanks Ph levels and makeing the water the colour of coffee or tea.I have heard of soakingit for a time...? would soaking it in salt water help....uh bleach it? or is fresh water best? How long do I soak it, a couple days, a week, a month?

My tank is a 20 gal. fresh water tank BTW and will hold Oarnge cobra guppies, a pleco,and 6-8 ghost shrimp. aswell as a bannana plant or 2,java moss and alarge java fern.

I have a Fish tank that HAD clear silicone sealent on its seems. It recently removed the incondecent light bulb and replaced it with a compact florecent bulb thet emits a soft blue light. (dollar store special $3.48?) Now the silicone has taken on a...milky white colouration. Is this a sighn of UV? light that is "eating" the silicone or is it just a cosmetic thing that is not to be worried about?

I am looking at hunting with this rifle and not PPL!! there for I need BRASS CASSES, with COPPER JACKETS not steel cases with steel jackets designed for through and through armour peircing military sniping! Chez.Rep. millitery surplus is not the deal.
