  • Filing insurance claim?

I changed my deductible down to $100 to $500 last week. I had it at $100 but moved it to $500 to save a few bucks when I was short cash. I just took my car to the shop for an alignment today and found out I damaged my suspension when I hit something (no clue what.) How long should I wait before I file a claim on the damage?

  • Army combat patches from Marine time served?

So I am now in the Army Guard. I feel a little left out that I dont have an Army Combat patch of any sort. The problem is I spent time in Iraq, with the Marines. Do I get to wear ANY kind of combat patch? I would like to know why or why not if possible. I just feel off all these people looking at each other with combat time and I am sitting over there being looked at like a peon. In my line of work, it is a stamp that should not be overlooked, and will make my job MUCH easier.

  • How to ignore a decimal in Excel?

I know how to round in excel, but I need to completely ignore it. Lets say I am dividing 200 by 3, it will be 66.6 repeating which if I ROUND would make 67. If I multiply by lets say, 6, it will be 402, but if it IGNORES the decimal place it would make a correct number of 396. Does anyone know how to do this?

  • Strip Clubs, Exploitation of men or women?

In my mind strip clubs are used for exploitation of single lonely men by the cute women who work there. Is anyone else upset that these women use these poor men?

  • Astrology, real or hogwash?

Factoring in the 13 constellations and the gradual change in orbital shift since the first constellations where named, does the sign you where "born under" have any effect on human behavior?

Here is my point, there are 13 constellations not 12, and the positioning of the constellations and dates they publish would be true, if you where born around 500bc.

  • Would an Invisible man be blind?

It is my theory that if someone is invisible by means of light passing through them somehow they would be blind. First, the cones and rods in the eye would not stoop the light to process the information. Second, the Iris in the eye would not exsist to restrict the amount of light entering the eye. Third there would be too much light in the eye for the lens to refocus it.

Am I right in my thought, or does someone disagree with me.

  • Spun Rod bearing, need some advice.

Ok, so I know my way around cars, and I think I already know the answer. The family has a aging Oldsmobile 88. The 3.8 spun its rod bearing and I am ready to scrap it for metal. My father was told by a guy that works for him you can replace the bearing and drive it for a while. I am thinking around the block, dad is thinking a few thousand miles more. We got the car for free and I am thinking that when the rod goes through the engine, it will cost us a tow bill as well. I am saying we should scrap it and cash in the tags.

Has anyone had really good success with replacing a rod bearing? Please I want to avoid the "I think it should work" answers too. I need real advice.

  • How bad IS childbirth?

Now before everyone starts posting answers let me ask you this. I am sure that before modern medicine and pain killers that going the natural way it was very painful. The planet is up to over 8 Billion people on this planet and I am pretty certain a large majority of us where yanked out of a womb at some point. I see families with 12 children. All this tells me one of two things could be true; Humans love sex or the process of birthing a child cannot be as bad as everyone says it is. With the modern day birth controls I would say it’s a combination of both. I may be jaded and insensitive but in the end I guess my real question is if child birth is so bad, why do we have so many people on this planet?
