  • How many characters can you use in a Disney Infinity playset?

I'm thinking of picking up Disney Infinity for the first time now that Disney Infinity 3.0 is set to release in less than a month; I've done a lot of research into how the game works, so I know that you can't take a character like, say, Jack Sparrow and use him to play through the Avengers playset. However, what I was wondering is whether you're able to take a character who belongs to that theme and use them to play it, even if they don't come with the playset; for example, the Twilight of the Republic playset that comes with the Disney Infinity 3.0 starter pack comes with Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, but could I buy Obi-Wan Kenobi separately and use him to play it as well, or would it only unlock side-missions for him to play?

Also, another question on the side: what do you have to buy to unlock toys in the Toy Box? I know that playset pieces are used to unlock a number of toys, but can you unlock more by buying characters and power discs?

  • How much, roughly, does a publishing solicitor cost?

99% of big book publishers don't take unsolicited entries any more, meaning that the only way to more-or-less ensure that your works get published is to pay for a publishing solicitor. I'm only looking for a VERY rough figure here, or just a range of figures; how much is a solicitor likely to cost??

  • Are the 'Star Wars' films based on books?

I hear a lot of people saying this is the case, e.g. justifying the 7th, 8th and 9th films by saying "there were 9 books to begin with", but as far as I can see, all the books were written after the films.

Is it just a really common misconception??

  • Can blood be identified as belonging to specific people?

I'm studying forensics and was wondering, for future reference, if it's possible for blood to be identified as belonging to a specific person; I have a feeling it isn't, as the red blood cells don't contain DNA.

  • Which of the three 'Grand Theft Auto V' protagonists do you think will be your favourite?

I, personally, am anticipating Michael the most.

Franklin seems like your standard GTA protagonist - a youth who's never performed more than a few petty crimes, but soon finds himself way out of his depth.

Trevor seems like the most unorthodox GTA protagonist yet; he's the type of character you'd usually expect to see as a minor villain, so his story should be very interesting.

But Michael intrigues me the most; he looks to me like a representation of what would realistically happen to the protagonists after the ending of each game. He 'moves on', gets married, has a couple of kids, and buys a big house and a fancy car, but finds that he misses the thrill of his criminal lifestyle, and tries to get back in the game.

  • How good is 'Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity'?

I'm thinking of buying the newest PMD game for my 3DS, but I looked up some of the review scores and they don't seem to be that great.

I downloaded the demo, and I enjoyed it; the demo didn't exactly showcase a whole lot of gameplay - there was a fair bit more dialogue than I expected - but the gameplay itself was enjoyable when it came round to it. Also, scores for the previous PMD games were hardly brilliant either and I loved all of them, so I'm really just wondering, to anyone who enjoyed the previous games, would you say the newest one is still as good??

  • Which is your favourite film of the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy?

That is, to people who have seen all three.

I saw 'The World's End' last night, and while I still think 'Hot Fuzz' is my favourite, it was still bloody good. I think the only real reason I prefer HF is simply because it's hilarious right from the first minute, whereas TWE takes a good while to really get into it (although it was very clearly an intentional move).

Once TWE did get into full swing, I'd say it was better than both of the previous films - it was funny, it was creepy, the action was great, there was the really dark twist towards the end that nobody saw coming and the ending itself was brilliant - but there was still a good half an hour at the beginning where not a lot happened.

  • What are your top ten superhero films?

Mine are, 01 being the very highest:

    10. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

    09. Iron Man

    08. Thor

    07. Kick-***

    06. X-Men: First Class

    05. Batman Begins

    04. The Amazing Spider-Man

    03. Man of Steel

    02. The Dark Knight Rises

    01. The Dark Knight

WOW, was Man of Steel awesome! And prior to seeing Kick-*** I'd always assumed it'd just be yet another corny piss-take, but it's actually seriously good as a superhero film (you can definitely see the similarities with X-Men: First Class, as they both had the same director).

  • Which of the new Batman and Superman comics are the best?

I was looking through the different 'New 52' comics earlier and saw that there are two different series of Superman comics ('Action Comics' and 'Superman') and four different series of Batman comics ('DC Comics', 'Batman', 'Batman & Robin' and 'The Dark Knight').

I don't particularly want to be reading more than one series for each superhero, so could somebody tell me what the differences are between each one, and whether they have a particular favourite??

  • When are we getting another Hulk film?

I was watching 'The Incredible Hulk' last night and I was just wondering why Marvel doesn't seem to be doing anything about producing another Hulk film; while not as good at the 2003 'Hulk' film at exploring the inner conflict between Bruce Banner and his alter ego, TIH is still hugely enjoyable as a comic book film and was well-received by audiences, and since there's so much you can do with a character like the Hulk, why don't Marvel seem to be paying him any attention?

I mean, he's a major Marvel superhero, and he's the only one of the four main Avengers established so far to not only have no film upcoming BEFORE the second Avengers film, but there's been no word of anything AFTER either. I mean, what the hell guys!!

  • Who's looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy?

A lot of people seem to be either sceptical or impartial towards the upcoming film, most likely because they've never heard of the team; I was one of them until recently, when I decided to read their comic book (it's a single 25-issue series, so it's an easy read) and BOY am I looking forward to it now :D

Although, it looks to me like Warlock and Quasar, two of the main six characters, are being left out, since they didn't appear on the concept art poster and there's been no word on their casting... and Yondu, a member of the PREVIOUS Guardians, seems to be taking their place, even though he never appears in the new team's stories :L

Also, who do we reckon Lee Pace will be playing as the villain? It's been confirmed that the film will properly introduce Thanos, but he was played by Damion Poitier in his brief cameo in 'The Avengers', and isn't a recurring foe for the Guardians - though he's undoubtedly the nemesis of Drax the Destroyer, he only appears right at the end of the Guardians' story, which continues into the more widespread 'The Thanos Imperative'. However, they need to introduce him somehow, and since the films are never really true to the comics, I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be the villain, especially since the stories surrounding some of the Guardians' more recurring foes (e.g. Black Bolt) might be just a bit too heavy for one film :P

  • Iron Man 3 - did you like how the Mandarin was handled?

As the title implies, this contains spoilers, so don't read ahead if you don't want to see them!!

Personally, I thought it was a wasted opportunity - but only because it was the Mandarin.

I think it's safe to say that NOBODY saw that twist coming - it was one hell of a good one - and it was a very original and refreshing take on the 'false villain' concept, and it also worked for the plot very well, but given that the Mandarin is supposed to be Iron Man's archenemy I thought it was a bit of a disappointment, because now future films (in this series) will never be able to use him in a truer-to-the-comics light. If it had been a lesser villain then I wouldn't have cared - it would've been nothing but brilliant.

  • Problem with my iTunes account?

Basically, my iTunes account is directly connected to my debit account, so money for apps and music and whatnot comes from the account. A couple of weeks ago I ran out of money in my account, and just to test how much I had left I tried purchasing one of the cheapest possible apps (69p). Because it turned out I only had about 30p, I couldn't buy it, so it came up saying that my payment method had been declined, as it should.

However, the annoying thing about this was that I still couldn't even download free apps or updates without a valid payment method, so yesterday I put a £30 cheque into my account, quite early on so it must have been processed by now.

And yet iTunes is STILL telling me that I have no valid payment method, so I really don't know what I'm supposed to do about this. Has anyone else had the same problem??

  • Black Ops II crashing?

I just got Call of Duty: Black Ops II on the Xbox 360 for Christmas, and it works perfectly on the whole but it often crashes (I'm not sure if that's the right term) when I'm playing the Multiplayer and Zombies modes. Whenever I switch the game on and load up either an online match or a game of Zombies, it works fine, but once the match has finished, the next one that comes on never loads.

For example, I was playing TranZit yesterday. After I died, it took me back to the lobby, and I instantly told it to start a new match. Once it hit the loading screen, rather than there being a picture of the map in the background, the background was just green. It hadn't frozen, because the music was still playing, the Treyarch logo at the bottom of the screen was continuing to flash and gleam as usual, and I was still able to open the Home menu in order to return to the Dashboard, but the loading bar never even started to fill up.

This is what happens every time with either Multiplayer or Zombies; it works fine, but the second consecutive game just doesn't load. Has anyone else had this problem on the Xbox, and found a way to resolve it? I'm going to see if just leaving and re-entering the lobby resolves the problem, although that might be a bit of a pain when playing online.

  • Is there any way to actually get good at 'The Binding of Isaac'?

It seems to me that the only way to actually complete the game is luck; since all the power-ups are randomly selected, you could either get really good ones or really crap ones, and if you don't get good ones then you have pretty much no chance of completing it. So far, I have a 12-hour play time, and have only finished it once. So is there any way to actually get genuinely GOOD at the game, because at the moment it seems like the only way you can guarantee yourself a slight advantage is by selecting an easier character to play as. The core factors of your success - power-ups and enemies - are all randomly selected.

  • Clayface in 'DC Universe Online'?

Where do you actually find him? With every other bounty I've done (i.e. most of them), I've just gone to the designated area on the map, flown around for a bit, and then spotted them within half a minute or so, but I have no idea where Clayface is. He's somewhere in the area with a load of Joker vans and henchmen, but I've flown around there for about five minutes without seeing him.

  • Why do people typically think of 'anarchy' as 'chaos'?

Just curious. 'Anarchism' is actually defined as the optimistic view that people are able to form a stable society without government, so why do people tend to think of it as a bad thing? Have there been instances in the past where anarchy was used, but failed?

I personally am an anarchist, but I believe we should still retain a judicial system to prevent crime rates from rising. The laws used in the system should be devised democratically, and can be amended by the general public if enough people wish to see them change. If you think about it, simply getting rid of the government in a developed country really wouldn't make that much difference; we would still use 'politicians' of sorts to implement changes, but those people would never be given actual authority. All decisions would be made democratically. Similarly, we would still be able to manage international relations, based purely on choices made by the people as a whole.

  • Mass Effect 3 multiplayer - why so much Cerberus?

Every time I choose to enter a game in the multiplayer mode, I always select 'Random Enemy' in order to get that small XP boost; the past 10-15 or so times I've done it, the enemy has always been Cerberus!! Is there some kind of major bias towards them in the game or something, because I don't see how it could possibly happen purely out of chance :L

I much prefer fighting the Reapers in multiplayer anyway, but I want to know if it's just a temporary bug or something and if I'll be able to keep fighting the Reapers while still gaining that little boost :P

  • If I start a game on Mass Effect 3 without importing from ME2, what decisions will have been made?

I've played through both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 before, and I'm just about to get Mass Effect 3, but I was in the middle of playing through the second game again just to remind myself of all the story details when the disc broke, so presumably I won't be able to import the Shepard from my first playthrough into the third game.

So, assuming you start a game in Mass Effect 3 without importing, what decisions throughout the first and second games will have been made automatically? As far as I'm aware, the Collector Base will have been spared, and presumably all the automatic decisions if you started a game in ME2 without importing are the same (Kaidan killed on Virmire, Council left to die, etc.), but what else is there?
