  • Filling in tooth clicks?

I recently (about 2-4 weeks ago) had several fillings done on both sides of my mouth. One of the fillings in an upper molar feels like it's clicking/creaking with I put pressure on it with my tongue. Is this normal? Will it resolve itself or is this something I need to get checked out? I plan on calling Monday regarding a sharp edge on another tooth so I can have him look at it then but I'm curious in the mean time.

  • I just found out I am pregnant but I'm still nursing, when will my milk dry up if it does?

I'm still nursing my 15 month old daughter and I'm about 4 - 5 weeks pregnant. I don't really want to wean her, in fact I would love to tandem nurse if possible. I know for most moms the milk will dry up, but when? Is dry nursing that bad?

  • If you took clomid, what day did you ovulate?

I used clomid to conceive my first child and I know I ovulated on day 14 with her. I took clomid this cycle and while I am still waiting for my period I don't know if I ovulated this time and if I did when it was. I've taken 3 tests and so far they've all been negative. My last cycle started on May 5th. I have PCOS so I don't have a normal cycle length to compare to.

  • Flying northwest airlines with a baby? Checked stroller AND carseat?

I'm flying in about 2 weeks with my daughter, my husband and my grandparents. My daughter is 13 months old and will be flying for free as a lap passenger. I plan on bringing her carseat because I've been told they will give her a seat if there is one available. I know they will check it for free if there isn't. My question is if I bring an umbrella stroller will they charge me to check that too if they have to check the carseat?

  • Can I wear my z-coils on an airplane?

My main shoes are z-coils. They really help with my back pain. I'm going on a flight on the 19th. Will security let me through wearing them or will I need to check them in my bag? I know you can wear gel inserts and my shoes have a nice big metal spring in them so I don't know and I don't want to have to deal with finding some other arrangements after the fact.

  • Provera? Period before finishing? Do I take the last pill?

I started taking provera last week and today should be my last pill BUT when I went to the bathroom first thing this morning I wiped red and there was a clot in the toilet. I'm assuming today would be cycle day one for me. Should I take the last pill? I already called my OB's office, I'm just waiting on a call back. I mean since it was meant to start my period I don't know that I should take the last one since it already did it's job.

  • Is it legal to force students to attend classes in buildings with no air conditioner?

The head index in Southwest Louisiana stays over 100 most days, it will be this way until November or so. Classes at the University started today and the AC is broken in several buildings. My friend is wondering if it is legal if not completely unethical to force students to attend classes this way. I'm sure she could get a refund still as they just started but she would lose an entire semester. We're considering contacting the newspaper. She's sensitive to heat as is and today was unbearable she had to leave 3 hours early.

  • Should I still have hope?

Tuesday they did an ultrasound and some blood work. They couldn't see any signs of the baby, but after the blood work the doctor said it's because it was still too early, the hormones weren't high enough yet. My HcG was at 980 or so but my progesterone was at 28, which ruled out an ectopic pregnancy. He scheduled me for followup blood work today. They called me a few hours later and told me it had gone up but it hadn't doubled like they wanted it to so they made an office appointment for me tomorrow? I just want to be prepared, am I about to miscarry? Is it possible for the hormones not to double and still have a normal pregnancy? I forgot to ask what the levels were at but I'm sure I'll find out tomorrow. I tried for nearly 2 years to get pregnant, I want this so bad.

  • 5w4d Pregnant, no baby on ultrasound but blood tests good?

According to my last AF, I should be 5w4d pregnant. I called the doctor over some one sided cramping I've been having for a few days that I was concerned about. So he ended up telling me to go to the hospital because I'm high risk for a miscarriage even though this is my first pregnancy. Well so at the hospital they did both types of ultrasound and there was no baby, she did say that it could just be too early to tell but that's still a scary thing to see or actually not see. So they took me to a room and took blood and 4 hours later (they had to take one of the samples across town) and after seeing one doctor who did nothing but ask me a load of questions, my doctor happened to be at the hospital and came in to discuss the blood results with me. My HcG was at 986 and my progesterone was at 28 which rules out an ectopic pregnancy which was one of my main concerns. I'm going back Thursday for more blood tests to make sure they are doubling.

  • 4w 1day Pregnant!?

I am 4w 1day pregnant, I only found out this morning. I have been trying since September of last year, I have PCOS and have been taking Metformin and last month I took Clomid which apparently worked. I go thursday to the doctor, they made me an appt. on July 31st because that's when they normally make one. But I talked with one of the nurses and told them of my PCOS and HUGE family history of Diabetes and Gestational Diabetes *I am not diabetic*. I guess there's not much of a question other than any advice one would like to offer, and hopefully a ray of hope to others who have been TTC for awhile. I know my risk of miscarriage is higher than some but I've been waiting so long for this I can't help but try to be happy!

I have one more to take. I haven't started yet. I wanted to know if anyone else has taken it and how long did it take to start the first time you took it?

  • Am I horrible?

I've been TTC for almost 2 years now and it tears me up each month that I'm not pregnant. When my older sister conceived I was going through a rough time due to losing my home by Hurricane Rita. My older sister likes drama and I refused to play into it and basically had no contact with her while she was pregnant (this was all right around when we first started TTC). The only reason I started talking to her was because the deadbeat she married started cheating on her before my neice was a month old. We all knew he was scum, she refused to listen. Regardless of all that, I have no qualms with my behavior there, only things I may have said. My current predicament is with my 20 year old younger sister who just informed me she's pregnant. She knew she might be pregnant for about a month now but hadn't had a positive test. Knowing that she smoked pot, got drunk, and didn't stop smoking until about a week and a half ago. She'd be nearly 8-9 weeks. I'm thinking of doing the same.

  • PCOS, Glucophage/Metformin and bloating?

I have PCOS and I'm on the second week of a gradual increase of 1 pill a week until I'm up to the full 2000mg (4 pills a day). I'm currently up to 2 pills at a time since last Thursday. I've lost about 5 lbs already but I feel so bloated and my lower GI has been nuts, random cramping, very loose bm, and just general unpleasantness. Has anyone else TTC experienced something similar to this? If so what did you do. I'm not even up to full dosage yet and I'm worried this is only going to get worse, it's bearable but the feeling that I'm huge and barely fit my clothes is what's the worst.

  • Metformin/Glucophage help infertility with PCOS?

Ok, so today I had my long awaited appointment. He gave me a prescription for Glocophage/Metformin and he is having me take 1 500 mg pill a day for a week, and then adding a pill a week until I am up to 2000 mg at week 4. He said it could help me lose some weight and it would possibly help me ovulate normally. I have another appointment in 3 months (it seems like forever) and if I am still not more regular then we'll discuss using Clomid or Letrozole. Could someone who has done this before give me some advice? Did the Metformin work well enough on it's own or did you end up having to use the fertility drugs. If so did you lose weight and how much? They did confirm my PCOS and also can anyone explain exactly when the Metformin helps ovulation? Other than losing weight helps. Thanks, also almost on day 39/34 of my cycle. He said to wait a few more weeks and if I still don't start to retest. but I'm sure I'll probably start Monday just to spite me.

  • Just looking for advice? TTC 1 year 4 months?

I've been TTC for awhile now. I had a progesterone test at day 21 and it said I hadn't ovulated that month and they are gonna put me on Clomid, they canceled my appt. last Thursday because he was in surgery and I have an appt. this Thursday. Day 21 was a Tuesday the 6th, well the next Sunday my cm was a little more springy and very abundant. Well we did things that night and I thought that there's a rare chance I ovulated. Well I was supposed to start Monday (based on the fact that I normally have a 34 day cycle) I took a test this morning it was neg. I didn't have any regular ovulation tests so I couldn't confirm ovulation that weekend. I don't think I am pregnant, I've just run out of hope. Each month comes and nothing. The doctors think I have PCOS but they haven't said to me directly "you have polycystic ovarian syndrome" but they said they thought that's what it was. I'm going to ask Thursday but I fit all the symptoms and so do my blood tests. Anyone have advice?

  • How many people have taken Clomid? + More in Details?

How long did it take to get pregnant, did you have just one of multiple? How much did it cost? Did insurance cover it and if so who was your insurance through? If taken for PCOS did the doctor prescribe anything else?
