  • Can't Improve LSAT Score!?

I've been studying for about three months for the June LSAT, which is in less than five days. I have taken a prep course, that I feel has taught me everything I need to know for the test. My diagnostic score at the beginning of the course was a 148 (don't think that's too bad for someone who has never seen an actual LSAT question before). However, although I have learned so much during the course, I am still scoring 148s on practice exams... every single time. I noticed a few weeks ago that a significant issue I was having was the timing, so I focused on that, taking multiple LR, LG, and RC sections and abiding by the 35 minute limit. I feel that I have improved substantially, but I'm still scoring right around 148. A week ago I found a glimpse of hope when I scored a 156, finally made some improvement! Yet, my previous three practice tests have been right back at 148. I feel like I'm doing everything in my power to improve my score, taking practice tests, review, more review, some more practice tests, and even more review. I've even made notes that include how to approach each type of logical reasoning question, plus an outline of each logic game setup, as well as an outlined approach to answering reading comp questions. Nonetheless, I'm making zero improvements in my overall score. There are no specific types of questions that I miss on any of the sections, my scores fluctuate for each. Only consistent thing I've noticed is that I tend to score lower on RC.

At this point I have determined two possibilities in regards to taking the test on Monday: Take the damn thing, or wait until October. I am unsure about taking it on Monday because of the fact I'm still not seeing improvements, but on the other hand, I am going to be likely too busy to study as intensely as I am now for the October test because of the different organizations I am taking leadership positions in this coming school year. I live in Arizona, so I have the joy of starting school in August. Any suggestions of what I should do, or how I can improve my score?! I'm becoming more and more frustrated with the entire situation, as I have a cumulative 4.1 GPA, and have never been unable to persevere through any academic challenges. All help is much appreciated!

My goal for the test is a 160, but I would be more than content with a score in the upper 150's.

  • Question about Police entering apartment complexes (Arizona)?

I am moving into an apartment complex that is just off the Arizona State University Campus. I have come to understand that there are at times a large police presence, especially on the weekends. I have also heard horror stories of police entering the building and standing by elevators to breathalyze students who come and go. I have spoken to management and they assure that their goal is to keep the police presence minimal with their own security. However, I would feel comfortable having the input of a third party. I guess my questions are: Where can a police officer legally go without a warrant in the apartment building itself (are they allowed in elevators or to roam the halls)? Can I refuse a breathalyzer and proceed to my apartment without talking to them? I am asking these questions because I am concerned of being harassed by simply coming and going from my own home. Thanks in advanced!

I would also appreciate it if you could list your sources. I would look up this information myself, but I do not even know where to look.

  • What can I possibly do if...?

I am living in an apartment in Arizona during the upcoming college school year. My question is about if the police are called to my door for a noise complaint. First of all, my door leads from my atual housing area into a hallway in the apartment complex, which is considered a public area. Let's say the police knock on my door, and I walk outside to greet them and ask why they're there. They inform me that they have received a noise complain and proceed to ask of there are any underage drinkers present, because they "know" there is alcohol in the room. They also ask if they can come inside to check to make sure everything is under control. I reply by saying something on the lines of, "officer, everything is under control, I promise to keep the noise down, was the noise the only reason you were called here? I do not consent to any searches unless you have a warrent." However, the officers claim I have alcohol on my breath (even though I have not had one single drink) and explain the fact that I can be charged with public intoxication for being out of my apartment room as well as a minor in consumption because I am only nineteen. They then explain that if I let them inside to search my house, they will not charge me with the public intoxication or MIC charge (obviously they are just wanting me to give consent to search.) But what can I do in this situation, can they still charge me by just claiming I have alcohol on my breath?

  • Just learning to play the Electric Guitar...?

I was wondering if anyone could give me some info about any websites or ways that I could teach myself how to play, preferably something that doesn't cost money. I can read tabs, and I understand the absolute basics, but that is about it. Any help would be great.
